Gorgeous private lake with only 24 houses offers a true natural oasis! Thomas Lake started as a private club in 1955 amongst a group of friends interested in nature conservation. Today, this small community remains dedicated to private conservation efforts. No additional cabins can be built on the lake, no motors above 5 HP and no rentals are allowed, ensuring unparalleled privacy and serenity! Jump off your dock for a swim, take the kayak out to fish for croppie, red ear, blue gill, bass or catfish or sway underneath the trees in the hammock! The cabin has been thoughtfully updated but retains it's rustic charm. Enjoy outdoor living on the huge deck, your private dock or one one of the three maintained trails covering the 300 acres of land the Association owns. Additionally, gather at the community shelter with picnic tables and a fire ring or enjoy the small, sandy beach area. Don't miss the annual 4th of July fireworks show, which is put on by residents but rivals Greencastle's fireworks show! Cabin 4 is nestled on the south side of the lake, with only three other houses and looks out on a densely wooded peninsula. From the deck, you might see our nesting blue and green herons, nesting bald eagles, owls, hummingbirds, deer, bobcats, foxes and lots of other animals!
